It is way too late and the sensible me is telling me to go to bed because I got work tomorrow, but alas the other half has gotten the better of me. My giant back log of posts from Melbourne doesn’t help either, so many great looks to share with you, so little time.

This week, Sydney’s going through some sort of a mini heat wave which has sent me scrambling to put my jackets back on the rack and digging for my summer clothes again. Averaging at 25, 26 degrees during the day, this is definitely feeling like the last of summer. Hmmph, I was enjoying the cooler weather and looking forward to unleashing the jackets and coats I acquired in New York, but autumn is making me wait. It’s alright, I suppose I can wait a little, just a little.

I love light summery looks, they remind me of the beachside, of road trips, of carefree long summer holidays. The salty ocean air that I love, a paper parcel of fish and chips, a bottle (preferably glass) of super chilled coke (never diet coke, never!). Mmmm, the things that puts a smile on my face.

A light dress, an oversized shirt, that is summer. Simple, stunning, Australian summer fashion. Relaxed, not self conscious yet so so pretty. Guess what! I found the perfect examples in Melbourne.

The weatherman says 25 degrees and sunny tomorrow. Now what do I wear??!!! Dress? Skirt? Oversized shirt perhaps?

Blue and white - Chinatown

I’m loving these rolled up jeans/trousers that’s all over the Sartorialist, this is the first good example I’ve seen in Sydney. I saw this guy from the back only, usually I don’t approach someone unless I see the front of their outfits as well, but I took a chance and what a cool look he’s got.

Now to all men of Sydney, please roll up your jeans and or trousers, this look is fantastic!

Friends - Oxford St

I love that dress on the left and she wears it with such ease, nice boots too.

Don’t forget to click on the photos to see them large.

Blue tights - Oxford St

Outside American Apparel, I think she works there, judging by her AA tee and tights.

Men's shorts I - Oxford St

Men's shorts II - Oxford St

I think a lot of guys are afraid of shorts, really afraid of them. But with warm weather really hitting Sydney the past few days, perhaps it’s time to reconsider the shorts. Hope these 2 above inspire you!

Micky mouse - Burton St

A little bit punk, a little bit retro, I like it a lot.
