Bright pastels - LMFF

Lovely, no? The longer jacket is nice, the colours just pop! Simple, summery, yet not the least boring.

Just a quickie. Melbourne girls love black! But they wear it well I have to say and black will always be the new black.

Alice’s red socks caught my attention, then I noticed the cardigan as scarf, love it! Turns out, Alice was wearing stockings, but it was too hot, so she bought some red socks and changed. She’s too lazy to carry the cardigan in her hands so wrapped it around her neck. Et Voila! Little unique touches always does it for me.

Black tie

Taken by V at the Mac temple.

I’ve been contemplating for a while whether I need to feature myself as more a presence here. Sure you see which outfits I like on the street, you even read my rambles on what I like about those outfits, but have you ever wondered just who am I?

Well, now you know, that’s me! I’m liking this bow tie trend so I went and bought a vintage bowtie. I’ve had those skinny jeans for a few months now but have only wore them a couple of times. So I decided to embrace my child bearing suitable hips and show them off.

And here in wardrobe remix fashion (excuse the unintentional pun), a list of what I’m wearing and where I got them from:
Bow tie: vintage from Surry Hills
Shirt: H&M
Belt: Sportsgirl
Jeans: Superfine
Boots: Vintage from Cream on Crown

More of these to come I’m sure.

Isn’t it funny how much we rely on black? My affair with black didn’t start til I turned 20 and found my metabolism suddenly ground to a holt and I could no longer eat anything I want. I learnt that black is forgiving, slimming, chic, sexy, glamorous and even mysterious. So the number of black garment in my wardrobe grew by leaps and bounds, from 1 or 2 pieces to now a quarter of all my clothes.

Black makes you feel confident, self assured, when you slip into that black dress you know you look good and you feel comfortable in your own skin. Black can also be cute and wispy!

Ladies, black is always the new black.
